4.64kg gold recovered from airline cleaner’s shoes

A Preventive team of Dhaka custom house detained a cleaner of Bangladesh Biman Airlines and seized 4.6 kilogrammes of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka early today.
Mostofa Kamal was held around 12:10am, said Mohammad Sydul Islam, assistant commissioner of customs.
Around 40 pieces of the gold bars were recovered from the Kamal’s shoes, Bangla daily Prothom Alo reports quoting Mohammad Sydul Islam, assistant commissioner of customs.
The gold bars are priced at Tk 2.32crore.
