EU parliamentary team due today

A high-level parliamentary delegation of the European Union (EU) is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today afternoon on a four-day visit.

However, a few members of the 11-member EU delegation have already reached Dhaka on Saturday.  The parliamentary delegation will visit Rohingya camps to see the plight of the displaced residents of Myanmar on the ground.

The delegation includes the members of the European Parliament’s Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI), the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), the Delegation for relations with the countries  of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (DASE), and the Delegation for Relations with the countries of South Asia (DSAS).
