Flag meeting on Bangladesh-Myanmar border begins

The flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) has begun.
The meeting is being held in a bid to resolve the “volatile situation” arisen after Myanmar deployed a huge contingent of its army with heavy weapons along the Tombru border with Bangladesh.
BGB official Manjurul Ahsan Khan said Myanmar responded to hold the meeting after BGB officials sent a protest letter to Myanmar authorities on Wednesday.
