12 houses gutted in Munshiganj fire

Ten houses were gutted in a fire at Uttar Kusumpur village in Sirajdikhan upazila on Thursday night.
The fire originated from the kitchen of a house around 11.30 pm and soon engulfed the adjoining houses, said Mohiuddin, chairman of Sirajdikhan upazila.
Local people had brought the fire under control before fire service unit reached the spot.
At least eight people were injured while the bringing fire under control.
On information, upazila nirbahi officer Tanvir Mohammad Azim along with the chairman visited the spot and distributed corrugated iron sheets among the affected families.
