Working to resolve outstanding issues with BD: Indian FS

India is working hard internally to resolve the outstanding issues with Bangladesh, said Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Keshav Gokhale on Monday.

He also said their country will continue to help Bangladesh resolve the Rohingya crisis as early as possible.

The Indian foreign secretary said this in a statement after a bilateral meeting at state guesthouse Meghna.

Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque and Vijay Keshav Gokhale led their respective delegations at the talks that began around 9:30am.

Vijay Gokhale arrived here on Sunday afternoon on a two-day visit to attend the meeting.

His Bangladesh counterpart Shahidul Haque received him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla was present.
