Five people were shot dead and six injured while on way to attend the funeral of Rangamati's Naniarchar Upazila Parishad chairman Shaktimaan Chakma today.
Md Jahangir Alam, assistant superintendent of police (sadar circle) in Rangamati, confirmed that.
Shaktimaan Chakma, the vice president of Parbattya Chattogram Jana Samhati Samity's MN Larma faction, was killed in a gun attack yesterday morning.
