Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president and information minister, Hasanul Haq Inu, today urged people to get ready for another war to save the country and its constitution from the deep-rooted conspiracy of BNP and Jamaat.

"BNP-Jamaat declared a war against the state and its constitution . . . We have to save the country and constitution freeing those from their evil intention," he said while speaking at the JSD national council at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.

Inu was very critical of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and said Khaleda returned to her house being defeated in the fire-fighting but she did not seek apology to the nation for her misdeeds.

"The war still continues and the country is not safe from the onslaught of Begum Zia" as she always cherishes anti-constitutional design, he observed.

The information minister said after the brutal assassination of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975, the Zia-Mostaque government promulgated the martial law in line with the spirit of Pakistan state.

He further said Begum Zia started her journey with Jamaat in 1990.

Referring to the landslide victory of the Awami League-led grand-alliance government in 2008, the JSD president said, "Since then (2008), the struggle against communal and militant forces started in Bangladesh and Khaleda-Jamaat declared war against the constitution."

JSD Executive President Rabiul Islam, party advisers - Prof Syed Anower Hossain and Doctor Moazzem Hossain, general secretary Shirin Akhter, Sergeant Rafiqul Islam Bir Protik and JSD standing committee member Mosharraf Hossain, among others, spoke on the occasion.
