2 killed after trains hit them in Dhaka

A speech-impaired youth and a teenage boy were crushed under the wheels of trains in two different places in Dhaka today.

One of the deceased was identified as Manik, 32, who was said to be speech-impaired while the identity of the other victim, aged around 13, is yet to be known, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Dhaka Railway Police Station Nabi Ullah said.

Manik was hit by a running train in Khilkhet area around 9:00am while the teenager was crushed under the wheels of another train near Dhaka Cantonment Railway Station around 3:00am, the ASI said.

Later, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
