Body of teenage boy recovered in Keraniganj

A teenage boy, who went missing while swimming in a canal at Rajendrapur on Thursday, was found dead on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Zihad, 14, son of Imam Ali of Baghoir under South Keraniganj Police Station.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of South Keraniganj Model Police Station, said divers of local fire service recovered the body around 9:50 am from near Rajendrapur Bridge.
Earlier, a team of fire service men started their rescue operation around 8 am.
On Thursday, Sifat, 12, son of Mafijul Islam, drowned while his playmate Zihad went missing while swimming in the canal.
Fighters recovered the body of Sifat around 6:30pm while Zihad remained missing.
