Fisherman killed as trawler capsizes in bay

A fisherman was killed as a trawler capsized in the Bay of Bengal during a storm in Kuakata here on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Mizanur Rahman of Gahinkhali village in Rangabali upazila.
Quoting the owner of the trawler, Milon Mitra, officer-in-charge of Rangabali Police Station, said a trawler named ‘FB Ibrahim’ with eight fishermen went to the deep sea on Tuesday for catching fish.
At one stage, the trawler sank in the sea due to strong current amid a storm.
On information, a rescue team went to the spot and recovered the body of Mizanur and rescued seven fishermen around 11 pm.
