Man held with 1 kg gold in Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man along with 1.1 kgs of gold from Amrakhali here on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Milon Hossain, 22, son of Mashiur Rahman of Porabari Naranpur village in the upazila.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-49 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Milon along with the gold worth Tk 55 lakh in the morning, said Lieutenant Colonel Ariful Haq, commanding officer of Jashore BGB-49 Battalion.
Later, the arrestee was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station.
