3 killed in Rangpur road crash

Three people were killed and six others injured as a bus knocked down an auto rickshaw at Monthona area adjacent to Hajirhat Bridge in Rangpur city on Sunday morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as Saju, 35, and Chan Mia, 35, of Singergari area of Nilphamari. The bodies were kept in Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) morgue for autopsy. The injured were admitted to the hospital.
According to the source, a Thakurgaon-bound bus of hanif enterprise from Dhaka knocked down a Rangpur-bound autorickshaw from Nilphamari, leaving two people dead on the spot. Remaining one was died after being taken to a hospital.
Rangpur Kotowali Police Station Sub-Inspector Monwar Hossain confirmed the information.
