‘Drug trader’ held in Faridpur

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested a suspected drug trader along with 1063 bottles of Phensidyl from Kanaipur area of Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.
The arrestee is Md Obaidur Khan, 20, a resident of Jhaukhola village in Kanaipur union.
Md Roisuddin, additional superintendent of police and company commander of Faridpur camp, said a team of Rab-11 conducted a drive in the area and arrested Obaidur along with the Phensidyl.
The arrestee was handed over to Kotwali Police Station and a case was filed under the Special Powers Act.
