Car catches fire in Gazipur

A private car was gutted as a fire broke out in it on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Masterbari in the city on Saturday morning.
Zakir Hossain, station officer of Gazipur Fire Service, said a businessman, Mehedi Hasan, found technical problems with his car while he was driving towards Joydebpur.
At one stage, Hossain said, the car caught fire on the highway around 7:30am.
On information, a firefighting team rushed in and doused the fire around 8am.
However, there was no report of any casualty in the incident.
The fire triggered huge traffic jam on the busy highway.
