Police have detained two hackers

Police have detained two members, including a Nigerian, of a gang involved in e-mail account hacking.

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit under Dhaka Metropolitan Police nabbed them from Bashundhara residential area in the capital on Wednesday night.

"The main target of the gang is to gain huge amount of money by changing the bank information through hacking their e-mail account," said DMP additional commissioner Monirul Islam. 

According to primary interrogation they said, they collect different information by hacking e-mail and website of a special person or institution.

Then the hacker team handed over the information to another members of the gang. The gang members later took secret information from there and exchange the e-mail hiding their identities, DMP commissioner said.

Monirul also said, a case was filed under the Information Technology Act against the duo.
