Secretary of Jatri Kalyan Samity arrested

Police arrested Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity secretary general Mozammel Hoque Chowdhury early Thursday.
The law enforcers captured the secretary general of the welfare body for public transport passengers from his residence in Sanarpara area of Narayanganj's Siddhirganj around 3:00am.
Confirming the matter, Mizanur Rahman, a Sub-inspector of Mirpur Model Police Station, said he has been arrested on charges of extortion.
According to Mirpur police, a man named Dulal has recently filed a case of extortion against Mozammel Hoque. Police will seek remand after producing him before the court today.
