3 held with 15,440 yaba tablets in Chattogram

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three young men and recovered 15,440 yaba tablets from a hotel at 92 Station Road under Kotwali Police Station in the port city on Saturday night.
The detainees are Manik, 32, son of Abdul Quadir Mia of Kashipur in Kaliganj Upazila of Jhenidah Distrcit, Sohel Hossain, 28, son of Sheikh Farid and Faisal Islam Ripon, 38, son of late Shahid Sardar of Goalani, both hailing from Louhajang upazila of Munshiganj district.
On information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at Hotel Martin around 9:45 pm and seized the contraband pills concealed inside several bamboo brooms, said a press release issued by Chattogram Rab-7.
