4 sent to jail over Shaktiman killing

A Rangamati court on Wednesday sent to jail four accused in a case filed over the killing of Naniarchar upazila parishad chairman and Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity (MN Larma faction) leader Shaktiman Chakma.
Chief judicial magistrate Mohammad Jahed passed the order when they were produced before the court after their arrest.
The accused are Subhash Chakma, Changaram Dewan, Ritu Chakma and Jotymoy Chakma.
The court also set 30 October for the next hearing of the case.
On 3 May, Shaktiman Chakma was shot to death by unidentified miscreants in front of the upazila parishad complex.
