EC will hear appeals fairly: EC Mahbub Talukder

The Election Commission will hear out all the rejection appeal of candidates in a fair manner, Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder assured today.
“We will be neutral during hearing the appeals,” Commissioner Talukder told reporters after a meeting with the 14-party alliance this afternoon.
A total of 110 aspirants filed appeals today as their nominations were rejected by the returning officers across the country after scrutiny on December 2.
Yesterday, 84 appeals were filed with the commission on the first day, after 786 applications to run for the upcoming general elections were turned down.
