Dr Kamal should quit as JOF convenor: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said Dr Kamal should quit as Jatiya Oikya Front (JOF) convenor for his failure to handle ongoing political situations properly and protect interest of the coalition ahead of national polls.

Quader made the comment in reaction to Dr Kamal's demand for resignation or replacement of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) K M Nurul Huda.

While addressing an election  rally in Cumilla today, Quader said there is no reason for resignation or replacement of CEC.

Also a minister, Quader said Kamal Hossain cannot speak well and his statements on many issues are devoid of courtesy and his comments are more poisonous than formalin.

Kamal Hossain and some of his  coalition members are trying to foil the upcoming parliamentary election slated for December 30, Quader alleged.

JOF representatives led by Dr Kamal Hossain went to register some complaints with the Election Commission yesterday.  Kamal Hossain termed police janowar (animal) in the meeting with the Election Commission. As Chief Election Commissioner protested use of such abusive language against cops, JOF leaders walked out of the meeting. Since then Kamal Hossain has been demanding resignation or replacement of CEC.
