1.8 lakh Yaba pills seized in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 1.8 lakh Yaba tablets from Moulvibazar area inTeknaf upazila early Friday.

Tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a drive in the area around 1:45 am, said Lt Col Md Asaduzzaman Chowdhury of BGB-2.

Sensing danger, the drug peddlers fled the scene leaving behind the Yaba pills.

Later, the team members recovered the Yaba pills worth Tk 5.5 crore from the spot. Those will be destroyed later, the officer added.
