Miscreants beat two journalists in Jashore

In two separate incidents, some unidentified miscreants beat two local journalists in Sharsha Upazila from Thursday night and Friday morning.
A group of miscreants, numbering 6-7, swooped on the local correspondent of television channel ATN Bangla, Ahammad Shahin, 42, with iron rod and hockey sticks around 8 pm Thursday while he was standing in front of his residence in Nabharan area, leaving him severely injured.
On information, a patrolling team of Border Guard Bangladesh rushed there and sent the victim to Sharsha Upazila Health Complex.
Later, the inured was referred to Ashim Dyagostic Centre in the town considering the severity of his injury.
Confirming the incident, Inspector (Investigation) of Sharsha Police Station Sheikh Tasmim Alam said police were investing the incident.
Meanwhile, on Friday morning, Abdul Mannan, local correspondent of the Daily Noya Diganta was attacked by some miscreants in Sharupdaha area.
The victim claimed the miscreants also gave his cousin a good beating after he came forward to save him.
