Cast votes without fear: Home minister

Home Minster Asaduzzaman Khan encouraged the people on Saturday to exercise their franchise without fear.

“Security forces have created a good [voting] atmosphere under the Election Commission’s supervision,” he told the media at his Monipuripara residence in the evening.

Asaduzzaman also urged the people not to pay heed to the propaganda of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, saying they are trying to create unrest.

“Security forces are ready to tackle any situation,” the minister assured voters. “The people will vote [in Sunday’s national election] in a festive and safe atmosphere.”
