Sheikh Selim elected unofficially in Gopalganj-2

Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim was unofficially declared elected from Gopallganj-2 constituency in the 11th parliamentary election.
Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, also the Awami League Presidium member, bagged 2,81,909 votes while his nearest rival Taslim Shikdar from Islamic Andolon bagged 608 and BNP aspirant Sirajul Islam got 286 votes from the constituency.
Returning officer Mokhlesur Rahman Sarkar announced the unofficial result around 8:20 pm from the conference room of the DC office.
