Outgoing Indian envoy Shringla meets President

Outgoing Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Thursday.

The President thanked Shringla for his successful completion of his tenure in Bangladesh.

"The connectivity between Bangladesh and India has been increased in a greater volume. So, the people of the two countries are enjoying its benefits. The trade and investment relations between the two countries are increasing multilaterally," he said.

The existing relations reached a new height during Shringla’s assignment here, Hamid said.

The President underscored the need for utilising comparative advantages between the two friendly countries to boost commerce and investment relations in the days to come.

Expressing his gratitude to the President and the Bangladesh government for their heartfelt cooperation, Shringla said India is always keen to enhance the bilateral relations with Bangladesh.

Secretaries concerned to the President’s office and high officials of the Foreign Ministry and Indian High Commission in Dhaka were present on the occasion.
