Cops charge batons on RMG workers in Ashulia

Police used water cannon and charged batons on the readymade garment workers, who blocked Dhaka-Tangail highway at Ashulia point, on the outskirts of Dhaka, this morning protesting disparity in their new wage structure.

Thousand workers of five garment factories took to the streets in Jamgora area around 9:30am for the sixth day, halting traffic movement in the highway.

Police charged batons and used water cannon to disperse them.
