Land Minister asks land office staff to submit wealth info by Feb 28

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury today asked all government staff and officials of the land offices to submit their wealth statements by February 28.

“All staff and officials of land offices from union parishad to the Land Ministry must have to submit their wealth statements by this timeframe,” the newly appointed land minister said.

While talking to journalist at a programme at the Chattogram Press Club this morning, Saifuzzaman said he would issue a gazette notification to make the order effective immediately, said the minister.

All the land offices will be brought under the purview of the CCTV coverage to ensure transparency in the sector, he said.

Apart from this, the land offices will be equipped with voice recorders to oversee the activities of the land officials, he added.

Respective officials including minister and secretary of the ministry of land will monitor the overall activities of the land offices, he added.
