3 held with 18,225 Yaba pills in Chattogram

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive arrested three suspected drug traders along with 18,225 Yaba tablets from Nimtola Bishwaroad under Bandar thana in the city on Sunday night.
The arrestees are Md Mozammel, 30, son of Farid Alam, Abdur Rahim, 40, son of late Abdul Alem and Md Nurul Islam, son of late Petan Ali, hailing from Ukhia upazila in Cox’s Bazar district.
Tipped off, a team of Rab-7 set a check post in the area around 10:50 am, said a Rab press release.
On suspicion, when the team haled a truck the drug traders who were in the vehicle tried to flee.
However, the team managed to arrest them.
Searching the truck, they seized Yaba tablets worth Tk 91.12 lakh.
