The newly-elected Dhaka University Central Students’ Union and Hall unions leaders went to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Gono Bhaban this afternoon.

Vice-President-elect Nurul Haque Nur, General Secretary-elect Golam Rabbani and Assistant General Secretary-elect Saddam Hossain, accompanied by others, reached the PM's residence 3:15pm.

On Thursday, the prime minister invited the newly-elected Ducsu leaders. The meeting was scheduled to be held around 4:00pm.

The March-11 Ducsu polls, the first in 28 years, were marred by allegations of irregularities like ballot stuffing and vote rigging.

All panels, except that of Awami League student front Bangladesh Chhatra League, boycotted the election alleging vote fraud.

Chhatra League's panel dominated the polls, but its VP candidate was defeated by quota reform movement leader Nurul Haque Nur.

Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad secured only two posts – vice-president and social welfare secretary while Bangladesh Chhatra League, the student front of Awami League secures 23 posts out of the total 25 posts in the Ducsu election.
