2 suspected robbers killed in city ‘gunfight’

Two suspected robbers were killed in a “gunfight” with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in Tejgaon area of Dhaka early today.

“Two members of a inter-district car snatching racket died during a gunfight between a robber gang and Rab at a checkpoint in Tejgaon area around 4:00am,” the elite force said in a short message service this morning.

The law enforcers also recovered a stolen vehical, pistol and local sharp weapons from the spot, Rab said.
