Mob beats 3 ‘robbers’ to death in Feni

Three suspected robbers were beaten to death by a mob in Daganbhuyan upazila of Feni last night.

A gang of robbers were trying to break into a house at Uttar Alipur village when its residents managed to gather locals by shouting for help.

Locals captured four of the robbers and beat them indiscriminately.

Hearing about the incident, Daganbhuyan police reached the scene this morning and found the four in a bad condition, said Md Saleh Ahmed Pathan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Daganbhyan Police Station.

“We rushed the injured to Daganbhuyan Upazila Health Complex from where they were shifted to Feni Sadar Hospital,” said the OC.

Three of them were declared dead at the Sadar hospital, the police official said.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
