2 Ansarullah men get life term in Faridpur

A court today sentenced two members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) to life imprisonment in an explosion case.
The convicts are Nahid Mollah, 22, of Bhanga upazila and Farid Mridha, 35, of Sadarpur upazila.
Special Judge Court Judge Md Motiar Rahman handed down the verdict at noon in presence of the convicts on the dock.
The court also fined them TK 20,000 each, in default, to suffer three months more imprisonment.
Police arrested Nahid with crude bombs and some books and Farid with 12 bombs and its ingredients on August 26, 2016.
Sub-inspector Gazi Salauddin of Bhanga Police Station filed a case with the police station in this connection the following day.
