No apprehension of attack in the country: Police

There was no apprehension of attacks or any sabotaging activities in the country over the multiple blasts took place in Sri Lanka that killed 190 so far on Sunday.

Additional Inspector General of Police Md. Sohel Rana (Media and Public Relations) said Police have been asked to stay vigil. Enhanced security measures and vigilance have been taken on the occasion of Holy Shab-e-Barat and Ester Sunday, he added.

A source from Police Headquarters confirming the matter said the commanders across the country including Dhaka were directed to maintain highest level of vigilance.

On Sunday morning, the near simultaneous blasts killed at least 190 people and injured hundreds more. It is the biggest violence Sri Lanka has seen since its civil war ended a decade ago.
