Obaidul Quader doing well in Singapore

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, who has been staying in Singapore for post-operation follow up treatment, is doing well.

The health condition of Road Transport and Bridges Minister is recovering rapidly and he is looking quite well in a photograph clicked on Sunday with information minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.

Dr Hasan Mahmud on Sunday visited ailing Obaidul Quader at a rented house in Singapore where the AL general secretary has been staying after getting release form Mount Elizabeth Hospital on April 5.

Info minister posted two photographs on his Facebook wall where two ruling party ministers and Awami League leaders were appeared sitting on sofa in a happy mood.

On March 20, the minister’s bypass surgery was conducted successfully in Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital and later he was released from the hospital on April 5.

The minister was admitted to Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on March 3 last. Later, he was diagnosed with three blocks in his coronary arteries.

The next day, a Mount Elizabeth Hospital air ambulance flew Quader to Singapore for better treatment as advised by doctors including famous Indian cardiologist Devi Shetty.

With the gradual improvement, he was taken to the hospital’s cabin from the ICU on March 26 last.
