Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir fell victim to ill-strategy of BNP as he lost his membership as a parliamentarian for not taking oath.

Information minister Dr Hasan Mahmud made the comment at a press briefing at secretariat in the capital on Monday.

Hasan Mahmud said, “Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has confessed himself that BNP's decision not to join Jatiya Sangsad was wrong. BNP has now become isolated from the people due to its numerous wrong decisions.”

He also said that BNP has to pay the price of their wrong decisions.

“Five MPs-elect took oath as parliamentarians but Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir didn’t. He became a prey to the over-strategy by BNP,” information minister added.
