Government employees can enjoy nine-day Eid-ul-Fitr Holiday at a stretch this year if they can take a leave on June 3 or government declares special leave for them.

According to government holiday calendar of 2019, month of the Holy Ramadan will come to end on June 4 as the fasting month counted for 29 days this year. So, Eid-ul-Fitr might be observed on June 5 in Bangladesh. If the fasting month lasts for 30 days, then Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on June 6.

If the Eid starts on June 5, the holidays will be on June 4, 5 and 6 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) June 7 and 8 (Friday and Saturday) will be added with it as weekly holidays.

Meanwhile, May 31 and June 1 are weekly holidays (Friday and Saturday) while Shab-E-Kadar’s holiday is set on June 2 this year. That means only June 3 (Monday) is only office day in between May 31 to June 8.

So, government employees this year are going to enjoy long holidays of 9 days this year, if they can manage a leave on June 3 or government declared the day as special holiday.
