Special flight of Biman returns from Myanmar without injured passengers

The special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines that flew for Myanmar to bring back injured passengers of the flight that skidded off the runway in Yangon amid bad weather on Wednesday evening returned home early Thursday.    

Some 14 passengers who were injured in Biman accident in Myanmar’s Yangon are now undergoing treatment at hospitals in Myanmar. The remaining four injured passengers left hospital.

According to information gathered from Biman sources, it would not have been possible to bring any injured passengers, who faced the accident in Myanmar, back in the country.

An emergency team led by Captain Soyeb Chowdhury, Chief of Flight Safety of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, flew for Yangon on 11:15pm on Wednesday from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Captain Anis took off the special flight Dash-8 Q-400, informed Biman’s general manager (Public relations) shakil Meraj.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, Biman’s flight Dash-8 Q-409, carrying 34 people including 4 pilots and cabin crews, skidded off the runway while landing in Myanmar's commercial capital.
