Turning unemployed youths into human resource stressed

The unemployed male and female youths must be turned into skilled human resource for advancing the nation through attaining sustainable development goals, speakers said here on Tuesday afternoon. 

They made these observations at the concluding ceremony of a two-month computer training course organised by Rangpur Zila Parishad (RZP) under its programme to create employment opportunity for unemployed educated youths. 

With Acting Chief Executive Officer of RZP Arzoo Ara Begum in the chair, its Administrator and Acting President of district Awami League Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed attended the ceremony arranged at RZP auditorium as the chief guest. 

Sixty unemployed male and female youths from all over the district participated in the two-month long computer training course organised by the RZP authority with its own resources. 

In her welcome speech, Arzoo Ara Begum said the present government has taken steps in turning all unemployed male and female youths into skilled human resources so that they could achieve self-reliance through self- employments. 

"There is no alternative to education and training for skill development of the youths to engage their combined efforts as working forces in achieving the long-cherished goal of building an economically self-reliant Bangladesh," she added. 

The chief guest called upon the public and private sectors for turning every unemployed youth into skilled workforce as the country's population was increasing continuously creating more and more unemployment. 

"The trainee male and female youths should ensure proper application of the practical knowledge and skill they acquired from the training course on computer for income generations to cut poverty and achieve self-reliance," he said.
