DU question leaks: 21 BCL men involved, CID charges suggest

At least 21 former and current BCL men were involved in Dhaka University’s (DU) entrance test question leaks last year, a charge sheet by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) suggests.

On Thursday, CID Chief Mohammad Shafiqul Islam informed at a press conference that a charge sheet was prepared over the country’s biggest question leaks accusing some 125 people including 87 students of the university.

Another 89 persons were found involved with the question leaks. If their addresses and names are found valid, CID will give a supplementary charge sheet.

During the press conference Shafiqul Islam also said, CID has already detained 47 accused persons including the big gun of the fraudulent chain. Among them, 46 have confessed their crimes before the court.

According to a list of the charge sheet prepared by CID, among 21 Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists, 18 held posts in BCL different units in the past. Another 3 BCL men are in different posts of existing BCL committees.
