ACC finds evidence Enamul Basir takes bribe from DIG Mizan

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has found evidence that its suspended director Enamul Basir took Tk 40 lakh in bribes from Deputy Inspector General of Police Mizanur Rahman.
A travel ban has also been imposed on Basir, according to a notice issued by investigation officer and ACC Director Sheikh Md Fanafilya.
ACC Director Sheikh Fanafilya learnt it that Enamul Basir may leave country and sent a letter to additional inspector general of police of special branch.
“It is urgent to quiz Enamul further as he took Tk 4m in bribes from DIG Mizan based on the primary investigation,” according to the letter.
The letter also mentioned that Basir along with his family is trying to go abroad.
