3 killed as truck hits pickup van in Mymensingh

Three people including the driver of a pickup van were killed as the fish carrying van crashed into a truck on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Mymensingh's Bhaluka early Monday.

One of the deceased was identified as Taher, 45, from Prashannapur village in Mohanganj upazila of the district.

The fish laden pickup van was severely damaged as it hit a Dhaka bound truck from behind around 4:30am, said the station officer of Bhaluka Fire Service.

The driver and two other passengers of the pickup van were found dead and recovered by the fire service officials, he added.
