9th wage board likely in July: Minister Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said that ninth wage board for journalists might be declared in July.

Quader, also the head of the Wage Board Cabinet Committee, said this in response to a question while talking to the journalists at a press briefing at his ministry in Dhaka.

“The announcement is possible in July,” the Awami League leader said while replying to a query.

“I will announce the wage board within a few days,” Quader said adding that it is “not logical to keep it hanging.”
