5 die taking toxic alcohol in Rangpur

Five people died and two others fell sick reportedly after consuming toxic alcohol in Hargas area of Kawnia upazila in Rangpur in last three days.
The deceased were identified as Amrul Islam, 40, son of Abbas Ali, Anarul Islam, 44, son of late Younus Ali, Fulbabu, 52, son of late Rahim Uddin, Nur Amin, 43, son of Matiar Rahman, Chan Mia, 36 and Obaidul, 47.
Officer-in-Charege of Hargas police station Rabiul Islam said after the incident came to light yesterday police are trying to arrest the shop owners who sold the toxic alcohol.
