One more arrested over Abrar murder in Sylhet

Police detectives have arrested one more person accused in a case over the killing of BUET student Abrar Fahad on the campus.
The arrestee was identified as Majedul Islam.
A DB team of Dhanmondi Zone arrested Majedul from Sylhet on Friday Morning.
Abrar’s father Barkatullah filed a case with Chawkbazar Police station on Monday evening accusing 19 people, including earlier arrested 10 BCL leaders and activists.
The case was transferred to the DB on Tuesday for investigation.
Abrar, 21, a student Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), was found dead on the staircase of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university early Monday.
Some BCL leaders beat him at room-2011 of the dormitory on Sunday night suspecting his link to Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.
On Monday, BCL expelled 11 leaders and activists of its BUET unit for their involvement in the murder of Abrar Fahad.
