Train engine catches fire in Chattogram

Five hours after a fire engine was caught at Kanchanagar Saiadabad in Chandanish upazila in Chattogram, Train Movement on Chattogram-Dohazari Route was suspended on Wednesday night.

The passenger train engine caught fire while going through the Kanchanagar station about 9 pm, Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, Dohazari Station Master.

As soon as the fire was spotted, the loco master stopped the train. Later a firefighting went on the spot and burned out the fire. On Wednesday at 2 a.m. the train was resumed after the  Sholoshor Station relief train arrived and the train was repaired. There was no proof of victimization.
