VP Nur attacked in DUCSU office, 30 injured

Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) vice president Nurul Haque Nur was attacked on Sunday by some Muktijoddha Mancha activists on campus at Dhaka University (DU).

Witnesses said the attack took place when Nur and some activists from Bangladesh Sadharon Chhatra Odhikar Songrokkhon Parishad held a meeting at the office of DUCSU about 1 p.m.

Fifteen others were injured in the attack, including Parishad convocator Hasan al Mamun, Joint Convocator Mohammad Rashed Khan, Faruk Hossain.

The injured have been sent for treatment to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Hasan al Mamun alleged that the attack was led by Aminul Islam Bulbul, president of Muktijuddha Mancha, a group of descendants of freedom fighters.
