Seven accused including four cops put on seven-day remand

A Cox Bazar Court on Wednesday granted a seven-day remand for each of the seven convicted, including four police officers, on the murder case of Major (rtd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah of Teknaf upazila released a warrant at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) made a 10-day appeal to the court.

Seven police officers, including former Teknaf OC Pradeep Kumar and Top Accused Inspector Liaqat Ali, who killed Sinha, have already been arrested in connection with the murder case.

Certain police officers detained in the case are: SI Nandadualal, ASI Liton Miah and Kamal Hossain, Abdullah Al Mamun and Safanur Karim. The seven policemen were all fired later.
