32 more die, 2,158 test positive in 24hrs

In a daily count Bangladesh reported 32 new deaths from the novel infection with coronavirus, taking a total of 4,383.

Another 2,158 patients suffering from coronavirus are found in 24 hours, increasing the total number of infections to 319,686.

The disclosure was made Thursday afternoon by a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). 

Health authorities reported an additional 2,964 people recovering from the disease in one day, increasing the total number of recoveries to 213,980.

In the last 24 hours, there have been 14,442 samples tested by 93 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 14.96 percent of the total sample tests tested positive while 20.08 percent of cases were detected from the total tests conducted so far, the release added.

Among the total infections, 66.93 percent of patients have recovered while 1.37 percent have died so far since the first positive cases of COVID-19 were reported on March 8 in the country.
