UNO Wahida's operation successful

Critically wounded UNO Wahida Khanam had a good operation at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital but she is not yet out of risk.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Zahed Hossain said due to serious head trauma she is still unstable and kept near observation under 72-hour.

Doctors are unable to make any statements until the time of evaluation is over, he said.

On Saturday, doctors will be giving more press conferences about her condition.

In the early hours of Thursday, Miscreants chopped the Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer under Dinajpur and her father entered government house.

She had been airlifted to Dhaka and admitted to Neurosciences and Hospital in the afternoon worsening condition.

Doctors said she is seriously ill and paralyzed on the right side of her body. He condition is uncertain because of brain bleeding internally and externally.

It is learned that the procedure was attended by a group of renowned neurosurgeons. They continued it for two hours starting at 9 pm. Nine body places were discussed.
