Physicians have removed stitches from the mouth of UNO Wahida Khanam who is undergoing care at a criminal assault surviving Dhaka hospital.

She had a successful surgery enabling the doctors to treat nine areas where critical wounds were inflicted.

Stitches at her head are being held away on Saturday followed by a medical board vote on the next course of treatment.

Her body's right side suffers from numbness due to the attack.

Doctors also said that she is able to move fingers with a hopeful sign and moves towards rehabilitation.

The medical board agrees she does not need to be sent to the outside world right now.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina controls the care of the UNO and all the experts are involved in the process.

Treatment and legal proceedings take place at the same time as a large number of people are behind the bar, including the main accused.

Some of them have already issued confessional statements. They said they attacked UNO for resisting attempted robbery.

Investigators and administrative officials ruled it out saying the attack may be sequel to UNO's zero tolerance of land grabbing and other irregularities.
